6.16.09 track day

Doing it again!!  150.00 per car  

There are 16 spots available for 150 each. You get 8 hrs track time. This is a very safe track there is nothing to hit. The track is set up for motorcycles. Speed is only limited to your ability to drive and stop. Open to street cars under good maintenance with no substantial leaks. If you wish to attend it is a first come first serve event.  We will have an Scca instructor for ride alongs.

When: Tuesday june 16th, 2009
Where: Talladega Grand Prix (Little Talladega)
Cost: $150 per driver (max 16 drivers)
Equipment needed:
Helmet (motorcycle helmet OK)
Long Pants
Closed Toe Shoes
A Car (with good tires and brakes, no major leaks)
Ability to roll down both front windows
Tips for a good day:
Bring water and snacks, lunch will be at noon for one hour and there are restaurants close by.
Bring a chair to sit in when you aren’t on track.
Sun screen, Air Gauge, plenty of tread, and a full tank of gas!

Me and a friend would like to go. Since I blew up my BMW last time out- I'll probably run the turbo nissan, and Kris would bring his v8 BMW.

I've been on TGPR a few times, and other tracks. He has track and autocross experience- but only has 1 seat- I just wanted to verify this won't be a problem (he can drive).

Is cash OK? idk what a check is-lol.

I've been so busy with the other BMW, the nissan, and a friends car- I haven't had a chance to even drop the trans on the blown BMW. I have a flywheel, and clutch waiting to go in (clutch material coming out of holes in the bellhousing)-hopefully that's the only problem- as the bottom ends in these almost never throw rods, or otherwise seize.

The nissan has proven more reliable for me trackwise- so it should be uneventful, save a few smoky non-ABS tire burning attempts at braking off of the front straight.

june 10th.  that gives me time to clear the checks and mail tgpr their check.

Michael, I'll get a check in the mail early next week for the june 16 track day. I have new shocks and springs coming for the Miata thanks to my wife. Hope to have installed and a new alignment before then. looking forward to seeing everyone again.
